ultrasound in the commercial realm for quite some time.
Annie Clement completed a PhD in Ranch Management at
Texas A&M University with a research emphasis on the
relationship between maternal ability and carcass ultrasound
traits in Brahman x Hereford females. Additionally, the
research project included a serial carcass ultrasound collection
on commercial feeder calves to determine a critical time frame
in which intramuscular fat is accumulated that is most
indicative of carcass marbling score thresholds.
